As Project Manager with Adelaide Civil, one of my most challenging projects was the construction of new stormwater transitioning across Fullarton Road in Norwood.
Due to the scale and busy nature of the road, all works were prescribed for the weekend. Thus, also with limited site storage, all equipment, materials and quarry products were orchestrated for delivery to site in the early hours of Saturday morning and removed by the end of the day.
Over 8 weekends a series of large section culverts, concrete pipework, junction boxes and side entry pits were installed to service this area. On each occasion, the road was temporarily re-sealed with asphalt, until the final weekend when a final deep lift of asphalt could be installed.
